Wave 1 Methods Report

This report documents the methods used to carry out the project, including the sample design, data collection, data editing and cleaning, sampling weights, and the results of a nonresponse bias study.

Data Collection Instruments

PEELS collects data from a variety of sources using 9 different instruments. These include a telephone interview of parents, assessments of the children, and mail questionnaires completed by teachers, principals/program directors, and district and state administrators.
